Greetings from the Band Room!

Here are several items for your consideration this week.

RED WHEEL should have been turned in TODAY. If you forgot please bring it tomorrow (Thursday).

FORMS - Please get all forms turned in ASAP. Without travel forms and Medical Release forms your son/daughter cannot attend the first game which is next week. If money is an issue with the beginning of school, at least get the forms in and we can work with you on the money.

LONDON CAR WASH - has been rescheduled for Saturday, September 13 at Hy-Vee at 87th and Pflumm. ANYONE can still accept pledges and donations, but the London travelers will 'work" the event. ALL monies need to be turned in by the following Friday.

LONDON - Any additional travelers who want to sign up must do so by September 8. Money must be current at that time which is now $1,900.

LONDON SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATIONS - If you would like to apply for a scholarship from Band-Aides for London, there are forms hanging on the board in the band room, or they can be found on the BAW website. They must be turned into the band office by September 15.

ALL BANDS - Memorization is in full swing. This week the Marching Band should pass off the Opener music and the Freshmen should pass off the Star Spangled Banner and Alma Mater.

DISTRICT HONOR BAND - Upperclassmen who are interested should get music from Mr. Thomas or Mr. Hupe. Auditions are in November. Some of this music will be used for our own playing tests at West in October. Why not get a head start in your preparation?

FRESHMEN PARENTS - The shoes and gloves should be here any day. please make sure you have included payment for those items or drop me a note of when we might expect that.

TAILGATING - ALL parents. The Pep Club will be cooking burgers and dogs at the first game September 12 as a spirit booster and fundraiser. Come have food with the Pep Club and then come join the band parents at the big yellow banner beside the band in the stands.

Thanks for all you do! Band-Aides and Band parents are great folks. We couldn't do it without ALL of you!
